The Tools to Uncover Your Confidence & Reclaim Your Joy

You deserve a safe space where you will be heard without judgment. You’re tired of feeling misunderstood. You want to show up authentically, unafraid to be imperfect, but the idea of being vulnerable feels overwhelming. Therapy is a safe place for you to process your feelings. I believe that you are the expert of your life and I am here to support you as we navigate the challenges you’ve been experiencing.

Therapy can help you rediscover your self-confidence and inner strength. With unconditional support, we will work towards setting boundaries in your life that put you first instead of others. You will begin to do the inner self-work as you learn to love and accept yourself.

Child and Family Therapy

Evidence-based intervention tailored to your child’s unique needs.

Therapy is strengths-based and focused on skills to address challenges. We provide a range of services, including individual child and adolescent therapy, and parent coaching models.

Parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) builds positive relationships between parent and child through parent training and live coaching.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented type of psychotherapy (talk therapy). helps you take a close look at your thoughts and emotions. You’ll come to understand how your thoughts affect your actions. Through CBT, you can unlearn negative thoughts and behaviours and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits.

CBT usually takes place over a limited number of sessions. Using a question-and-answer format, your therapist helps you gain a different perspective. As a result, you learn to respond better to stress, pain and difficult situations.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

It helps to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. One important benefit of DBT is the development of mindfulness skills. Mindfulness helps you focus on the present or “live in the moment.” This helps you pay attention to what is happening inside you (your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and impulses) as well as using your senses to tune in to what’s happening around you (what you see, hear, smell, and touch) in nonjudgmental ways.

Mindfulness skills help you slow down and focus on using healthy coping skills when you are in the midst of emotional pain. The strategy can also help you stay calm and avoid engaging in automatic negative thought patterns and impulsive behaviour.

Mindfulness Training

Mindfulness skills training teaches the body how to regulate and the mind to slow down. Mindfulness is often used imbedded into other treatments to increase awareness and regulatory skill.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

IPT is an evidence-based approach designed to improve communication skills and address interpersonal issues that may be contributing to emotional distress. This therapy helps clients explore relationship dynamics, understand the role of personal interactions in their mental health, and work through conflicts in a structured, supportive setting. By enhancing communication and problem-solving skills, clients can develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

IPT is particularly effective for treating mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, by focusing on the present and the social context of a person’s life. Through a collaborative process, clients learn to navigate complex emotions and interpersonal challenges, ultimately leading to improved social functioning and emotional well-being.

You feel like your child has lost their joy and you just want your child to be themselves again. Maybe your child is experiencing nightmares, bedwetting, tantrums, anxiety, or is quick to anger/irritability. You desperately want to understand what is going on, but your child struggles to communicate how they’re feeling and what they’re experiencing.

You’re feeling lost and flustered, questioning what you’ve done wrong. I want you to know that you are not a failure and there is hope. Parenting is freaking hard. Counselling can help your child decrease anxiety, learn coping skills, manage their emotions, and reclaim their childhood.

Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)

Exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP) is the process used to break down goals into smaller manageable steps. The therapist guides the patient through each step while keeping anxiety at a manageable level. ERP is very effective for children and teens with anxiety as they climb their ‘hierarchy’ to reach their goals.
